Rentility classifies property types in 2 ways; the structure of the property and the length of stay.
A
House is a detached residential property that a renter would be the only tenant in. For example, if you own
a 3 bedroom house and want to rent out the entire house (or floor if entrances are separate), that would
be classified as a
House. However if you want to rent out only 1 bedroom out of 3 total bedrooms, this type of property would be classified as a
Room/Share/Couch.
A
House is
also a property that a renter would lease for a longer
term, typically 1 year but as little as 6 months. If a property
fulfills the structural requirements for a
House (see above) but the lease term is only for 3 months, this type of property would be classified as
Vacation/Sublet/Temp.
